Outdoor Water Tank Cleaning
When was your outdoor water tank last cleaned?

Outdoor water tanks should be inspected and cleaned every year to ensure that the water is in good condition for use in the garden, within the house and business. Over time leaves, pollen, gum, insects, and other material  enter the outdoor water tank as it builds up on the bottom of the tank floor.  Here they break down, dissolve, go rotten and contaminate the water making it foul tasting and putrid. This will greatly affect the quality of the water.

  • Tank cleaning up to 10,000 liters

  • Filter replacement

  • Lid replacement and lid clips

  • Install leaf catchers and gutter brushes

  • Supply and install Germicidal Tank Lamps

Germicidal Ultraviolet Tank Lamp (GTL)

For an immediate improvement in your outdoor water quality

Unlike conventional UV treatment, the GTL series cleans both air and water in the tanks with a 99,9% efficacy rate, which has major benefits to consumers as follows:

  • Extends the lifespan of the water tank.

  • Extends the lifespan of filtration.

  • Improves stored water quality.

  • Eradicates all pesticides, insect, and mosquito infestation.

  • Zero E.Coli results from 36-48 hours after GTL installation.

  • Eradicates all forms of deadly bacteria such as Cholera (UV Data Sheet attached - Vibrio-comma - Cholera)

WATER STORAGE TANK MANAGEMENT

A Crucial Role in Water Management

Water tank storage technology is now one of the most sought-after and most abused commodities being used today.  Domestic water storage tanks are commonly used in Industrial, Domestic and Rural centers to enable reliable access to harvested water.

However, limited or NO maintenance gets done on the condition of water storage tanks, since it is assumed by consumers that water received meets the required needs for potable and non-potable water standards (SANS241).

Approximately 80% of tank deterioration and water quality complaints we have received from the water utility and consumers alike over the past decade, is generally around leaking perished pipe tank connectors, cracked tank top canopies, and internal walls resulting in foul-smelling stored water (that comes from Municipal, Borehole, and Rainwater sources).

It is imperative to keep your water storage tank clean by vacuuming it at least ONCE A YEAR to avert such unnecessary expense in tank repair or replacement. Tank vacuuming services are inexpensive and will save you lots of money in the long run.

keeping your water storage tank clean and maintained, the total water quality will remain suitable for its intended application.

Maximizing the tank’s total service life and identifying any potential problems before they occur, keeps your water supply safer and undisrupted. To this end it is also important to consider implementing Germicidal Ultraviolet Tank Lamp (GTL) technology to ensure consistent and improved water sanitation and quality of supply.

Our incredible 100watt and 55watt Germicidal UV tank lamps have been a huge success for rainwater, borehole water and municipal water storage and re-use as potable water.

  • Boasts a 12000 - 13000-hour lifespan before having to change the tube vs 6000 - 6000-hour lifespan of conventional Ultraviolet.

Testimonials

I live in the Rondebosch area of Cape Town where the borehole water is full of iron. This necessitated in installing a filtration system to clear the iron before the water is usable for our irrigation system. Over time the iron sludge that collects in the bottom of the tank has to be cleaned out. It’s a pretty ghastly, very messy, and a lengthy arduous task. We did not look forward to having this done each year.

HOWEVER… there’s a new team, with a whole new method out there this year for the first time, and I’m excited to be able to highly recommend them…

THE TANK DOCTOR has just done a quick, very clean, and professional job of this odious task. The whole experience was an absolute pleasure and I really cannot recommend them enough!!
